Amanda Brower

Amanda is a book editor, story shaper, content strategist, and writing consultant with twelve plus years’ experience working with acclaimed and award-winning authors at two of New York’s finest publishing houses—Little, Brown and Company and Viking Penguin—and now independently. I’ve written content for an assortment of online and print outlets, too, including: DailyCandy; ELLEgirl; Lola, a women’s magazine published by The Boston Globe; Prevention; Thinkmap Visual Thesaurus; Variety; and WP BrandStudio, the in-house branded content division of The Washington Post.

What excites me is the chance to nourish talent both blossoming and established, strengthen voice, polish prose, and help elevate projects big and small to extraordinary heights. I’m passionate about the fiction and nonfiction stories we tell, and about finding ways to tell them even better—together—through collaboration, conversation, and creative language.

A sampling of services offered, to individuals as well as to organizations: manuscript and proposal ideation and development; comp title and market research; conceptual, developmental, line, and structural edits; consultation on the publishing process; copyediting and proofreading; copywriting; brand messaging, verbal identity, and content strategy; communications and storytelling coaching.
